Op 17 april speelde Kasper van Hoek in De Werkplaats samen met Jan Kees Helms/StrangString. De twee improvisaties zijn verschenen op de CD Waiting Is A Linear Time Machine Without Parts (four live pieces) en is verschenen op Heilskabaal Records. 

"Waiting Is A Linear Time Machine Without Parts (four live pieces) features four live recordings made on three occasions in 2011. The first two are recorded on April 17th in De Werkplaats (Amersfoort, NL) where Kasper van Hoek played together with Jan Kees Helms/StrangString. The third one was recorded on May 8th at the ORKZ (Groningen, NL), this time Kasper van Hoek with Jan Klug. The last one (date: August 26th) is a solo piece which Kasper van Hoek played at the Noorderzon festival (Groningen, NL) at a performance evening by Salon Sur+."
